  • Private Photoshoot — One of you is the photographer, the other has never posed. Start dressed, follow every direction, and end when the camera is on the floor.
  • Masquerade for Two — Masks on at the door, no real names all night, dinner by candlelight and a rule that masks come off last.
  • Bodyguard Detail — One of you is famous, the other is the security detail who never looks away. The evening tests how long protocol lasts.
  • House Call — One of you is the doctor, the other has vague symptoms and a lot of patience. The examination is thorough and the bedside manner is not.
  • Office Hours — Teacher and student, one desk, one subject nobody studied. Extra credit is available, but it has to be asked for out loud.
  • Holiday Fling at Home — Pretend you are both abroad and single. New names, a bar you have never been to, and a hotel-style night where nobody mentions tomorrow.
  • Command Night — One of you gives every instruction from the front door to the pillow. The other follows without discussion. Swap roles next week.
  • Collar Evening — A collar goes on at dinner and stays on all night. Whoever holds the leash chooses the pace, the room and the rules.
  • The Praise Dinner — Cook for each other and pay one specific compliment per course. Dessert is served in the bedroom and the compliments keep going.
  • Blindfold Tasting — One of you is blindfolded and fed dessert, wine and a few surprises. The blindfold stays on when the tasting ends.
  • Hot and Cold — An ice bucket and warm oil on the nightstand. Take turns tracing each with slow hands until someone stops being able to keep still.
  • Silk Ties Only — Buy two silk scarves. One goes over the eyes, one around the wrists, and you take turns choosing which.
  • Rooftop After Dark — Find a roof, a fire escape or a top-floor balcony with the city below. Blanket, a bottle and no clothes rule after midnight.
  • Sleeper Train Night — Book a couchette on an overnight train. Tiny cabin, one bunk, a door that locks and strangers through the wall.
  • Beach at Midnight — Drive to the nearest beach after dark with towels and nothing to sit on but each other. Leave before the sun.
